If you've ever dreamt of owning a historic train depot, this might be a very rare chance to do so.
According to the seller, the depot in Negaunee opened on Christmas day in 1910. Though it closed in the 1960s, changed hands a few times, and fell into disrepair, in 2001 the current owners purchased the 2,750 square foot space and spent four years restoring it. During those four years, they updated utilities, mechanical systems, and restored original windows, as well as added a Corten corrugated metal roof, radiant floor heating, and a sauna.
Other features include turn of the century craftsmanship with mahogany woodwork, exposed brick walls, stainless steel appliances, as well as the depot's old ticket window which now connects the kitchen and dining room.
