This $1.5 million Southfield mid-century modern home once belonged to a famed opera singer

This Southfield estate is named after the original owner Ara Berberian, a famed opera singer whose career included performances with the Michigan Opera Theatre (now Detroit Opera), Baltimore Opera Company, and the Metropolitan Opera in New York City.

Berberia is located at 28415 Streamwood Ln., and the nearly five-acre lot has ample space.

The home was originally built in 1952 with an addition built in 1974. The four-bedroom home also features an in-law suite in the lower level and a separate guest house and creative art studio on the property.

This home is listed by Mary Anne Kennedy of Selling Michigan.
