A day after downtown Detroit was reeling from losses by both the Detroit Lions and Pistons, a much needed dose of hip-hop was the perfect change of pace.
Snap Dogg kicked off the night entering the stage dressed like the grim reaper and gave his usual energetic performance. Next up was Tay B who was joined on stage by BabyFxce E for a 15-minute set. CMG artist Big Boogie was easily the most entertaining act of the night, his set highlighted by his nonstop dancing and his viral hit “Pop Out.” Rob 49 brought Tay B back for their hit “Mama” and Tee Grizzley brought out Skilla Baby for their hit “Gorgeous” followed by an acapella rendition of his single “First Day Out.”
After a long delay GloRilla lit up the stage performing “Yeah Glo!”, “TFIG,” and “Tomorrow 2”. Sexyy Redd kept the energy going and closed out the night performing “Get It Sexyy,” “Shake Yo Dreads,” and introduced Detroit’s favorite queen of hip-hop Kash Doll for a short set.
Florida rapper BossMan Dlow, who was originally scheduled to be a part of the show, did not perform for unknown reasons.
