On Thursday, Detroit’s Haus of RAYA held its first-ever fashion show in Eastern Market. Founded by Raya Sacco in 2020 as a vintage resale and consignment store, the brand pivoted to design in 2022 as a sustainable couture fashion house. The Season 003 show was centered around its 1/1 T-skirt collection, with each garment constructed out of vintage T-shirts with materials sourced from Fabscrap, a nonprofit dedicated to ending textile waste. The show also featured co-designer Austin Scott, producer Eirene Miranda, videographer Ryan Klosowski, makeup by Olivia Sulik, and hair by Austin Scott, Olivia Hanso, and Reilly Djordjevski.
