A new 3D-printed home in Detroit’s Islandview neighborhood is redefining housing with its innovative design and construction.

Designed by Bryan Cook of Develop Architecture, the 1,000-square-foot, two-bedroom house will be available for rent starting October 15 for $1,850 per month. It’s believed to be Michigan’s first 3D-printed home.

Built with energy efficiency and sustainability in mind, the home features advanced insulation and airtight sealing to lower utility costs. The durable construction materials ensure weather resilience and require less maintenance than traditional homes.

Inside, the open floor plan offers a spacious living area, a modern kitchen with new appliances, and large windows that provide plenty of natural light. Using eco-friendly 3D printing methods, the home minimizes waste and reduces its carbon footprint, making it ideal for renters prioritizing sustainability.

Located in a walkable, up-and-coming neighborhood near parks, shops, and dining, the home provides modern urban living while showcasing the future of construction.
