The renewed appreciation for all things Y2K continued with alternative rock bands Creed and 3 Doors Down returning to the Detroit area for a big Little Caesars Arena show on Wednesday — just months after both bands appeared together at Pine Knob. Frontman Scott Stapp shouted out his longtime guitarist Mark Tremonti, who was born in Detroit and grew up in Grosse Pointe before moving to Florida, where he met Stapp as a teenager. The band also reflected on first hitting the road with Mississippi band 3 Doors Down for the first time 25 years ago. Mammoth WVH, a band fronted by Eddie Van Halen’s son Wolfgang, opened the show.
