Malcolm Gladwell says it takes 10,000 hours to become a master at something. These fashion designers took that to heart in creating fashion stands out as statements of high art. Founded in 2009 by Tyna “Fance” Logan, the Fashion Massacre has been committed to putting emerging designers in the spotlight with annual fashion presentations and providing tools to better build the designers’ business and craft. To celebrate 10 years, Fashion Massacre has enlisted more than 20 designers from metro Detroit and beyond to showcase their individual perspectives. This year includes work from Donovan Dewberry, Max Marie, and Project Runway season 16 contestant Sirgarade Karidza. More information on the event can be found at massacrefashion.com.
