"Lucky for me the company that I was working for decided to redo the side of the roof that exposed the best sunlight last," Bill Koechig says of this shot of the hayloft of a barn in Milford that he was working on eight years ago. Currently a salesman for an exhibit company, he usually shoots in black and white and is self-taught. Koechig captured this image while teetering 8 feet above the floor in a small standing space with a super-wide-angle lens and did no retouching on the final print. He occasionally uses the darkroom at Oakland Community College and always drives with two cameras in his car. "I’m just always taking pictures," he says.
