Now, after Trump's former foreign policy advisor George Papadopoulos pleaded guilty in Robert Mueller's Trump/Russia investigation, George Papadopoulos from Novi, Michigan is getting mistaken for the lying former Trump aide.
After the news broke Monday morning that George Papadopoulos lied to the FBI, Papadopoulos from Novi received tweets from people confusing him for Trump's Papadopoulos.
While it looks like Novi Papadopoulos could be Trump's, (he is a financial planner, verified Twitter account, 8,000-plus Twitter followers) Papadopoulos made it clear that he is "NOT that George Papadopoulos."
One Twitter user tweeted at him that he couldn't wait to watch him "wriggle out of this one," which prompted Papadopoulos to tweet:For the nth time, I am NOT Trump's foreign policy adviser! I have NO association with the Trump camp! NONE!

Turns out the Novi Papadopoulos isn't even in the country — he is visiting his mother in a Greece.
To all: I am NOT that George Papadopoulos. I am in Greece visiting my mother so today it has been kind of surreal to keep up with.

I will try to reply to some emails. Sorry, no video interview requests, it's not possible here in this small city in Greece in family home

If we may paraphrase one Chris Crocker ... "LEAVE GEORGE PAPADOPOULOS ALONE!"
