Your community can host reproductions of DIA paintings for the upcoming Inside|Out season

For the past six years, the Detroit Institute of Art's Inside|Out program has brought art to the people, transforming Detroit and the suburbs into an open-air art gallery. It's a a nice reminder that there's a whole building filled with these things downtown (and admission is free if you live in Wayne, Oakland, or Macomb counties). We've seen them on the Riverwalk, on Royal Oak buildings, and even on the Dequindre Cut, to name a few.
Interested communities must submit an application by Oct. City representatives and arts organizations are invited to apply for the 2015 season. Communities have a choice of hosting from April to July or August to October. Participants will be featured on an interactive map on the DIA's website.
