Yet another Detroit Land Bank director resigns

There has been more churn at the Detroit Land Bank Authority.

Multiple outlets are reporting that director Rebecca Camargo has resigned effective Sept. 1. She took the job earlier this year, and has worked with the agency since 2014.

It's the latest in what has been a leadership churn at the beleaguered agency. Camargo's departure follows that of executive director Carrie Lewand-Monroe, who stepped down in March. In January, Land Bank demolition director Pura Bascos resigned, and last summer, Detroit Building Authority deputy director Jim Wright resigned.

The departures come during a federal investigation into the agency's escalating costs and bidding practices.
