Shutouts often happen in football, soccer, baseball, hockey, lacrosse — just about any sport, really. They almost never happen in basketball. Yet that's exactly what happened yesterday when Cass Tech's girls basketball team beat Osborn 80-0.
According to the Detroit Free Press, coach Marissa Thrower even took her starters out of the second half to try and level the playing field, to no avail. "Don't make me out to be a bad guy. We did not press Osborn," Thrower told the Free Press. "My starters … they played about 6 minutes the entire game. I don't know what to do in a situation like that."
