Even in 2015, the earning disparities between male and female workers are alarming, with the average gap falling around $10,000.

That means that a woman who has the same level of education and experience and is performing the same work-related task as a male counterpart will earn far less, 78 cents to his dollar, specifically. Make that woman a woman of color, and that gap widens even more.
