Retail supergiant Target decided this week that firearms were getting in the way of the store's family-friendly shopping experience, and kindly asked customers to refrain from bringing their guns to their fluorescent isles.

The decision stemmed from a growing trend where open carry activists take their weapons along for the ride to Chili's, Starbucks, Sonic, Chipotle — and yes, the baby clothing aisle at a Texas Target in June. Right after photos of this ordeal surfaced, a loaded handgun was found in the toy section of a South Carolina Target, and Target decided it'd be the gun-activists bullseye no more.

This decision was aided by group Moms Demand Action, which had sent around a petition demanding Target take action with gun activists that captured nearly 400,000 signatures.

So if you're at a loss for where to take your assault rifle on a pamper-me shopping trip, try Kmart.
