The late-night oldies radio played Joan Osborne's "One of Us" ("What if God was one of us/A slob like one of us/Just a stranger on the bus"). It's a silly song, but nothing compared to Washington, D.C.'s silliness right now.
So a little satirical playing around results in a lyric about the Republican House Speaker: "What if Boehner was just a head/And his face wasn't that awful red/Could we believe a word he said?" Some of Boehner's middle Republican colleagues seem to bathe in starch; their stiffness would never be seen "on the bus." It's more likely you'd see God on the bus than John Boehner in his casual beige banlon shirt.
