The data-crunchers at Loveland have long created online resources helping map properties in Detroit and who owns them. Now it shows you what's been burning lately.
Loveland's Jerry Paffendorf tells us that the project, which went online about 30 minutes ago, "represents more than six months of listening to the fire scanner, writing down events, visiting and revisiting properties, and working through the data."
The project provides a report on the data, a gallery of photos, and a remarkable map that shows what has burned, and how severe the fires were. See it by clicking
