Remember when a video game was as simple as a Pac Man chasing little goblins around a maze and eating pellets for points? Those days are gone, but if you’re having trouble keeping track of your favorite Pokémon characters, Pokédex is here to help. Offering info on all 151 members of the Pokémon family, this little battery-operated gadget is part handheld game and part cartoon Rolodex. The Pokédex is about the size of a Nintendo Game Boy; with it, kids can look up any character to see a complete description of its special powers, traits, habits, and an accompanying image. For about $25, it’s a worthwhile investment for Pokémon fans young and old. Don’t worry, we won’t tell anyone. Look for Pokédex at major retailers and toy stores.

The web site www.pokemon.com offers an online version of the Pokédex encyclopedia, as well as lots of Pokénews and other Pokéstuff.
