Michigan State University has largest African American freshmen class of any Big 10 school

Not only does Michigan State University have the largest African American freshmen class of any Big 10 school this coming fall, but they are also expecting 8,000 first-year students, one of school's largest incoming classes ever.

The university says that their high enrollment is partially due to its long-standing land grant tradition and that they enroll the most Michigan students than any other university in the state.

In addition to have the largest enrollment of African American students in the Big 10, the school also said that their experiencing a record for Hispanic students attending the university.

Recently, many praised the university for not allowing white supramisct and neo-Nazi Richard Spencer to speak at the campus.
