Nassar is being fined $250,000 for each of the four cited violations of the public health code, the agency says. LARA documents show grounds for disciplinary action included negligence, incompetence, and lack of good moral character. The money is to be paid to the state after he pays all other restitution and fines stemming from convictions in cases related to his alleged abuse of more than 100 young women.
Nassar's medical license was permanently revoked after a series of convictions in federal and circuit courts, the agency says. In December, Nassar was sentenced to 60 years in prison on federal child pornography charges. In January and February, he was sentenced to up 175 years on ten counts of criminal sexual conduct in the first degree. The charges were split between Ingham and Eaton counties.
Nassar’s license was initially revoked by LARA last April.
