If you have an interest in the direction of Detroit's Historic Fort Wayne, a public hearing set for this evening should be on your radar.

The Detroit News reports a meeting is scheduled from 6-8 p.m. at the Fort Wayne Visitor Center, located at 6325 W. Jefferson Avenue in Detroit, to discuss a potential redevelopment of the site. From the News:

On hand will be representatives from the New York City firm specializing in finding ways to create massive urban projects. That firm, HR&A Advisors Inc., was hired in January for $235,000 by the state’s Michigan Economic Development Corp. to come up with a feasibility study. That study is essentially a realistic plan to keep the fort’s historic nature while finding some other new use: housing, office or industrial.

Those on-site will take questions from public attendees.
