Are you a hardcore fan of the reality TV show
Hardcore Pawn? Then you won't want to miss this opportunity to meet the Gold family, the show's stars and owners of pawnshop American Jewelry and Loan, at a holiday fundraiser next month.
The Golds will be on hand to take photos with fans, and for a donation you can also get a tour of the store's 50,000 square-foot warehouse (a former bowling alley which houses such curios as a Dr. Kevorkian's "Deathmobile"). There will also be door buster savings on the store's wares, prizes, and giveaways. Plus, the show's film crew will be there — so maybe you'll wind up on
Hardcore Pawn. (And if you need to pawn jewelry you can still do that, too.)
The event will benefit three Detroit-based charities —
Detroit Dog Rescue,
Habitat for Humanity, and
The Heat and Warmth Fund. It all goes down from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13 at their Detroit location, 20450 Greenfield Rd., Detroit; 313-345-4000;

We recently
stopped by their Detroit store — their
fur coats are very fabulous.
