The Michigan-based real estate site WDWOT (Why Don't We Own This) recently published a map on its site, detailing a history of Detroit via building age.
It's a pretty interesting depiction of our city's architectural background, dating all the way back to the 1800s. And, like WDWOT points out, you can notice clear rings of development (or lack of development).
Head over to the WDWOT to expand the image and for additional stats on Detroit's urban development through the ages.
