On Monday afternoon, Michigan State Police found a man unconscious in the driver's seat of a blue GMC van on I-94 and the Lodge freeways. The police also found a small, one-pot methamphetamine lab in the van.

At approximately 4:10 p.m., police responded to a call that a man was unconscious and slumped over the wheel of the car that was stationary on the freeway. The man had apparently overdosed and police attempted to revive the driver by issuing the anti-narcotic drug NARCAN, a drug typically used to reverse the effects of opioids.

Members from Michigan State Police's Meth Lab team came to the scene to dispose of the illicit substance. The man was transported to the hospital but was declared dead upon arrival.
