Proper pronunciation doesn't appear to be a requisite for winning Jeopardy.

Indiana resident Scott McFadden pronounced Mackinac like many non-Michiganders might when he responded to a clue about the bridge Thursday night.

The answer was, "Dedicated in June, this bridge linked Michigan's Upper and Lower Peninsulas."

McFadden's question — though right — came out oh so wrong.

He replied, "what is Mackinac" (said, MACK'-in-ack), and got the points.

McFadden went on to win the show for a second-straight night and returns to Jeopardy this evening.
