You need cooling! MB64 ain't fooling!

Led Zeppelin — Led Zeppelin XI: Live at Carnegie Hall (Atlantic) :: They all laughed when Bun E. Carlos sat in for John Bonham during this one-off reunion. Well, they're not laughing now.

Black Oak Sabbath – Paranoid Mutha (Atco) :: I wish.

Frank Sinatra & David Lee Roth – "When No One Cares" (Reprise) :: After Van Halen filmed their cameo appearance in Frankie's "L.A. Is My Lady" video, Sinatra and Roth hit the studio to cut this cover on the stipulation that it wouldn't be released until both singers were dead.

David Lee Roth – Barrelscraper (Syndicated Radio Show) :: Like I said.

Blue Öyster Cheer – Agents of Eruptum (Phillips) :: I wish.

The Rolling Stones – Super Bowl Live! (Virgin) :: I don't know which is worse: the lousy album title or the fact that they actually had the nerve to release a 12-minute set on an 80-minute disc.

Ted Nugent – The Ted Offensive: Triple Live Gonzo In Iraq (Epic) :: You were waiting for that, weren't you?

Ziggy & The Stooges – Metallic Tin Machine (Skydog) :: They all laughed when "Jim Bowie" announced that they were going to swap bands and record an album together. Well, they're not laughing now.

Phyllis Dylan – Fang On Fang (Columbia) :: I wish!

SPLATTER PLATTER OF THE WEEK:

Nirvana – Arrivederci! (Swan Song) :: Finally, their long rumored last studio session recorded in Rome. Purists will enjoy the cover versions of Woody Guthrie's "So Long It's Been Good To Know Ya," Ozzy's "Suicide Solution," Cheap Trick's "Auf Wiedersehen," Queen's "Don't Try Suicide," Country Joe's "I Feel Like I'm Fixin' To Die Rag," Bowie's "Rock 'n' Roll Suicide" and Alice Cooper's "Lay Down And Die, Goodbye." Also includes the hit single "Dead Man's Curt."

Be seeing you!
