Rick Snyder visited the Polka Dot bar in Hamtramck on Friday afternoon to discuss a job creation program, but Hamtramck reminded the unpopular governor that he remains perceived as the main villain in the ongoing Flint water saga.

A large, homemade banner facing the small bar at which Snyder and other officials gathered blared the message, "RICK SNYDER POISONS KIDS." (Just to be clear, a lot of decent people were also in attendance for the event.)

The message — located about 40 feet from Snyder's eyes — is timely. The governor announced last week that the state would stop providing bottled water to Flint residents. And that decision came just after the state announced it would allow Nestlé to pump and bottle about 576,000 gallons of fresh water daily from the Great Lakes basin for the low, low price of $200 annually.

Snyder's approval rating hangs at 37 percent, making him one of the nation's least liked governors
