Nissan has a new vehicle that they're calling "the most passenger-friendly cab on the market".  The NV200 Taxi is coming to a northern suburb near you.

This weekend and next, Friday-Saturday, July 18-19 and July 25-26, one of these taxis will be roaming the streets of Royal Oak and Ferndale, looking to give free shuttle rides to city patrons who say #HailYes. The cab will stay within a four mile radius of Main Street in Royal Oak for all drop-offs and pick-ups.

Complimentary rides will be doled out from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. on both weekends. The taxis include amenities like passenger mobile charging port with 12-volt electrical outlet and two USB charging ports, as well as a transparent roof panel. The car company is hoping to raise awareness about the new cabs, likely hoping to bring them to local cab companies. The taxis are currently being used in New York City.
