Owner and operator Kelly Pettibone announced Friday that the store will host a closing sale May 19 through June 8, with discounts escalating from 30 percent off the first week to 75 percent off on the store's final day open.
Pettibone says she plans to stay involved in the community, and that she's keeping her eye out for new, exciting endeavors, especially those that will focus on the arts.
Pettibone, who designed some of the store's jewelry herself, worked with many local artists and designers to stock Naka and the goods sold within include also: Waste Not Paper supplies, Cyberoptix ties, and children's toys, clothing and books.
She says she plans to honor gift cards bought in the last six months with cash, if preferable to the customer. However, those obtained through donations or promotions or purchased before November 15, 2013, won't be eligible for cash back.
The store's fixtures, displays and decor will also be sold during the closing sale.
While the store will be closed on Monday, May 26 for Memorial Day, Naka's hours will remain Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m until June 8.
