Sixteen-year-old Calvin Stephens has been charged in connection with a Noel Night shooting that left four teens hospitalized, according to a press release from the Wayne County Prosecutor's office.
Stephens is alleged to have shot three male teens, ages 14, 16, and 19, and a 17-year-old female at approximately 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2. The shooting happened at the corner of Farnsworth and John R Streets near the Detroit Institute of Arts.
Stephens was arrested on Monday, Dec. 4, after an investigation led by the Detroit Police Department. Last week, he was charged with four counts of assault with intent to murder and one count of felony firearm.

After a pre-hearing on Saturday, Dec. 9, Stephens was sent to the Juvenile Detention Facility. He has a preliminary hearing on Tuesday, Dec. 12 at 9 a.m. A judge will determine if he is to be tried as a juvenile or an adult.
