The City of Detroit's budget department will host a public meeting next week to let residents comment on aspects of the city's budget.
Representatives from a number of departments will be present at the meeting, including public works, fire, health, police, public lighting, recreation, and the Detroit Water & Sewerage Department.
The department has also asked residents to complete a survey about their budget priorities. The survey, which is located
here, can be completed online through November 15.
The department says the forum will also educate citizens about the budget process. The forum will take place Monday, Oct. 28 at Farwell Recreation Center, located at 2781 E. Outer Drive, from 6 to 8 p.m. Anyone who wants more information about the meeting can call the department at 313-224-6260.
