Thousands of Metro Detroiters were impacted by the flooding that took place in August, both residential and commercially. Comedysportz Detroit was not spared by mother nature. In fact, the improv group's theater got hit hard by the storm. In order to help them bounce back, they have announced a fundraiser, which will take place on October 17th at 8 p.m. Tickets are $40, which includes the show and a wine and cheese

Rich Goteri, the producer and artistic director at Comedysportz Detroit, had this to say regarding the situation, "Our theater was devastated by the flood. We had water rushing in like a river. We had to tear up and replace carpet, repaint, replace ruined merchandise, and basically rebuild our space. Our insurance is denying coverage so all of the repairs are coming out of our pockets. So we're asking our community to help us out. In addition to seeing one of our amazing ComedySportz matches, fans will get to enjoy an afterglow with wine and cheese and a chance to meet and mingle with our players."

Comedysportz is a fun and interactive improv show that happens every Saturday night at 7:30. Not only would attending the fundraiser help get them back on their feet, but it would also be wildly entertaining. The Michigan Actors Studio, which shares the complex with Comedysportz, obviously suffered as a result of the flood and will hold another fundraiser on November 7th, with a performance of Love Letters
