At the Birmingham spot, you'll find great food and wine "with humor in a fun, casual environment." The hostess station is an old white Detroit Liner stove, a 1940s model with legs and drawers. In Ferndale, you can't go wrong with the Grand Marnier French toast— a perfect blend of vanilla-soaked challa bread with toasted almonds and other ingredients.
