Plunderball b/w Spitting Image
X! Records
OK, no time to waste. Notes for a review: Side A equals three minutes of plunging down a waterslide listening to a spy theme for a spy too anxious to remember anyone's name or face. With a title like "Plunderball," there may be something to that. Willfully disobedient to the urge to swing (at least until the verse's rave-up), TT teases and stabs between drum rolls. On the edge of a gasp! groove, they pull it out and nail you with a heady dose of "Mr. DNA" or some such slice of Duty Now for the Future. B-Side? "Spitting Image." A more conventional if more muscular two-minute headlong run at a brick wall. Love it, but can't fight the urge to scratch an unreachable itch. Damnit!
