They say things get better with age. Such is true for Detroit’s beloved proto-punk pioneers, the MC5. Get ready to kick out the jams because the band is itching to celebrate a rock 'n' roll milestone.
Announced today, Wayne Kramer, MC5’s founding guitarist, is set to launch a 35-date tour to commemorate the anniversary of their debut album Kick Out the Jams as well as the release of his memoir, The Hard Stuff: Dope, Crime, The MC5, and My Life of Impossibilities.
Tickets for the Fillmore Detroit performance go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 9 and can be purchased here.
