PJ's Lager House is about to kick your craving for the raw, nasty, realness of the Detroit rock and punk scene before the 2000s hit. Dozens of some of Detroit's best garage, punk, and rock bands will be rocking the Lager House with originals, along with covers paying tribute to the classics like Iggy Pop, The MC5, and Bootsey X. The era that inspired the infamous 90s punk scene in Detroit will be brought to the stage one more time. And if that's not enough to induce the want to rock, the all-girl punk-rock quartet, The Vertical Pillows, will be jamming together for the first time since the mid-80s, creating a promise for an unforgettable show.

Saturday, August 6, doors at 9 p.m.; 1254 Michigan Ave., Detroit; pjslagerhouse.com; Tickets are $10, Ages 21+
