Stevie Wonder to bring his 'Songs in the Key of Life' tour to Joe Louis Arena on Nov. 21

The Detroit News reports that Motown icon Stevie Wonder is playing the Joe Louis Arena on Sat., November 21 as part of his Songs in the Key of Life tour. This show will be the second round of this tour, which stopped at the Palace last November (and was super well received). Make sure to get your tickets signed, sealed and delivered fast; they go on sale this Friday morning. Ticket prices will start at $29.50.

Wonder’s album Songs in the Key of Life debuted in 1976 at number 1 on the Billboard Pop Albums Chart. It was the first album in history by an American artist to do that. Including R&B radio hits “I Wish” and “Sir Duke,” Rolling Stone placed the album at number 57 in its list of 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

Today in D.C., Wonder shocked the city by playing a pop-up show for free at RFK Stadium, according to the Washington Post. How much fun would that be?
Another pop-up concert will take place at 3 p.m. in Philadelphia, philly.com reports. Both are future stops on his tour. So, keep your eyes (and ears) vigilant closer to the Detroit date — perhaps he'll do a free show by the waterfront?
