We're feeling pretty vindicated! Another artist named in Metro Times' 2017 "bands to watch" feature has scored a record deal. Today, we can report Stef Chura will join Saddle Creek (Bright Eyes, Big Thief, the Faint, the Thermals) for a reissue of her debut record, Messes, originally released earlier this year on local indie label Urinal Cake Records and already out of print. (Last month singer-songwriter Anna Burch, also named on our list list, announced a deal with Polyvinyl.)

Saddle Creek will reissue Messes on CD, LP, and even cassette, and the record will be available on color vinyl as a limited edition of 150 on Feb. 2, 2018. The label says it was also release "new material from Chura in the near future." It is currently available on streaming services.
In the meantime, Chura has two upcoming performances — one on Friday, Nov. 3 at Grand Rapids' Lamp Light Music Festival and the other on Thursday, Dec. 14 at Detroit's El Club.

The reissue announcement comes with the release of a new video for Messes album closer "Speeding Ticket," available below.
