Metro Times caught up with rapper June as he was preparing to released his new project, WhatUpDoe State Of Mind: Vol.1. The album was a perfect mix of bom bap Detroit style hip-hop. June has decided to turn his project into a show that highlights Detroit’s best and helps children and the homeless as well.
WhatUpDoe State Of Mind: LIVE was launched to celebrate the progressive, multi-genre music-artists from the great city of Detroit and surrounding areas. As an exclusive, charitable event, WhatUpDoe State Of Mind: LIVE (#WSOML) is featuring a winter edition to close out each year. The goal for #WSOML is to rival the overall success of iconic event-festivals such as Lalapalooza, Coachella, SXSW, and Rock The Bells.
This is a charitable event and everyone is encouraged to bring canned goods and coats to be donated to Detroit’s homeless and kids in need.
