Acoustic guitar duo Loren and Mark bring their Americana fingerpicking style to the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center this Friday, September 18. This will be their third time performing in the area since their formation in 2010.
“Loren and I first came to Michigan about a year ago during a tour we were doing with Tommy Emmanuel," Mark wrote via email. "Being our first time in the area, we were amazed at the response we got, and really the people were so friendly. So we've been wanting to build something in the Detroit area, and we had a great show in January that we did there by ourselves.”

Combining elements from bluegrass, jazz, and the Grande Ole Opry sound makes for an interesting and fun performance. Come see two experts on the fingerpicking style pioneered by Chet Atkins and Merle Travis; Alana-Marie Boudreau will be the opener.

Event is Friday, September 18; Doors are at 7:30 p.m.; 15801 Michigan Ave., Dearborn; $20.
