This coming Monday, September 28, the latest touring version of British post-punk pioneers the Gang of Four invade the Loving Touch in lovely Ferndale.
Of course, it’s Gang of Four minus three these days, ever since bassist Dave Allen, drummer Hugo Burnham, and singer Jon King jumped ship, leaving guitarist Andy Gill at the helm of one the greatest bands in the history of rock n’ roll. Gill isn’t feeling the pressure though, often reminding interviewers that Gang of Four has long been a revolving cast of musicians, each adding something new to the band’s trademark punk-meets-dub sound. Gill will take the stage with his new lineup in support of their latest album, What Happens Next.
Starts at 9 p.m.; 22634 Woodward Ave., Ferndale; 248-546-3696; thelovingtouchferndale.com; tickets are $25; 18 and older.
