The Free Press reports today that a longtime local DJ died yesterday in a house fire. The entire, heart-wrenching story is worth a read; anyone who is looking to adopt a pit bull puppy might especially be interested.
C.L. Lee, Jr., 34, of the West Side of Detroit, was a father of two who was described by friends as "selfless." Lee was a dedicated turntablist who (we are informed by the piece) thought that DJs who don't use vinyl are lazy; his DJ name was DJ Shordy. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help cover funeral expenses here.
