Guys — cats are really fucking cute, OK? First of all, cats have fur. They’re soft as hell and give zero fucks. Cats were literally worshipped by the Egyptians because they believed they were badass little guardians of the dead. And they purr! Like, living, breathing Nintendo 64 Rumble Paks. And nothing is more heartbreaking than imagining kittens and cats without houses where they can knock shit off counters and ignore their humans.

Enter the Annual Cat Cabaret, which is returning for its third year at the Magic Bag. Per usual, the event will donate all proceeds to the Ferndale Cat Shelter and the Catfe Lounge and will also host a silent auction. This year, DJ Michael Elliott, Kitty Paige, Mike Bobbitt, mentalist George Tait, and the High Strung will perform, and dinner will be catered by Imperial and local vegan mobile eatery Nosh Pit.

Event begins at 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 31 at the Magic Bag; 22920 Woodward Ave., Ferndale; 248-544-1991; themagicbag.com; Tickets start at $50-$75.
