Be sure to stick around for a special screening of the Grande Ballroom doc Louder than Love.
Grimshaw died in January of this year after suffering from health problems, including a brain tumor and multiple strokes. Grimshaw's designs for bands like the MC5 became synonymous with the Grande Ballroom scene in Detroit in the '60s, and he enjoyed renewed interest in recent years thanks to the "garage rock" revival. As Grimshaw told MT's Brett Callwood in 2006, his posters had become so collectible that even he couldn't afford to buy his own work anymore.
