Graceland is forever and there's only one man suited to be its bodyguard.

Paul Simon is the latest legend to bid adieu to the touring life — after giving it one last go. Simon’s Homeward Bound: The Farewell Tour will kick off in May and will travel across North America, the U.K, and Europe — stopping at DTE Energy Music Theatre on Sunday, June 10.

Simon's resume includes 13 solo studio albums, five albums as Simon & Garfunkel, 29 Top 40 singles, 16 Grammy awards, and admission into both the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Homeward Bound tour is slated to be a "fitting culmination" of an unparalleled career.

“I’ve often wondered what it would feel like to reach the point where I'd consider bringing my performing career to a natural end. Now I know: It feels a little unsettling, a touch exhilarating and something of a relief. “ Simon said of his tour in a statement, “I love making music, my voice is still strong, and my band is a tight, extraordinary group of gifted musicians. I think about music constantly. I am very grateful for a fulfilling career and, of course, most of all to the audiences who heard something in my music that touched their hearts.”

Tickets start at $35 and go on sale Friday, Feb. 9 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at 313presents.com, live nation.com, as well as at the Fox Theatre and Little Caesars Arena box offices.
