The Keloorah festival includes paint and foam parties and DJs in a spring break-style setting during a NASCAR weekend at Michigan International Speedway.
As if a weekend of NASCAR wasn’t enough, some major musical acts have been added to the Keloorah festival at Michigan International Speedway later this month, including Third Eye Blind, Fitz and the Tantrums, GROUPLOVE, Chase Rice, and many more.
For two weekends, first on June 10-11 and again on August 26-27, Keloorah fest will take over MIS with live concerts, DJs, a go-kart experience, a video game arcade, an outdoor sports bar, tailgate games, foam and paint parties, and more, all on NASCAR race weekends. The activities are accessible with the purchase of both the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series admission and Keloorah admission tickets.
Eleven acts spanning country and alternative rock will perform at Keloorah.
“We’re excited about Keloorah and the great performers we are bringing to MIS for the fans to enjoy on the NASCAR weekends,” says Roger Curtis, president of the speedway.
“Keloorah is a completely unique concept — a true music festival taking place at the same time as a NASCAR race weekend, to attract new fans to MIS who may not otherwise be aware of, or come to see NASCAR, as well as provide a great new experience for our NASCAR fans.”
Keloorah is the phonetic spelling of “Ceiliúradh,” the Celtic word for “celebration,” and both weekends are sure to be exactly that. “Come for the music, stay for the party at Keloorah,” the festival’s website says.
Curtis says the festival is the best event associated with NASCAR: “All the activities at Keloorah are free and will allow our guests to have an entertainment experience unparalleled at any other NASCAR event. NASCAR is more than a race. It is a festival, which is exactly what we have for fans in Keloorah.”

If at any point you’re not feeling colorful enough, guests can get sprayed by paint and foam next to the main stage. Paint and foam parties begin when the gates open and will continue until the first act takes the stage for the evening. Foam and paint will also return between acts. At no point should you not be indulging in getting sprayed with either foam and/or paint. If you need a break from all of the fun, you can head to the Dark Horse Brewery bar to enjoy some refreshing Michigan craft beer. Or you can go to the sports bar to enjoy your other favorite drinks.
Just so you won’t miss any of the fun, camping at MIS for the weekends is also available with reservations, which includes a free evening shuttle service from the campground to all over the MIS grounds.
Keloorah requires both the purchase of Sunday NASCAR Sprint Cup Series admission for Sunday, June 12 or Aug. 28, plus the purchase of admission to Keloorah on June 10-11 or Aug. 26-27. Visit www.keloorah.com to see the packages offered for group tickets and all event details.
