We have been receiving such a great welcome in Detroit. The warmth and strength of Detroiters is a beautiful thing to behold, we're so very happy to be here with you.

Yesterday we played a nice midday gig at the Scarab Club, raising funds for the Tiny Scarabs. Yesterday's gig was a perfect example of why we conduct our early season fundraisers for ourselves. We played gratis at the Scarab Club, and were pleased to be able to do so thanks to the support of our friends and fans, who make our project go. Thanks to all of you for believing in our project, and for stepping up, we're all very grateful.

Today is the day!  We'll form up for our victory lap with everyone and anyone who wants to roll with us through the city. We'll start at 2:30 p.m. from the John R entrance to the DIA, go for a leisurely cruise with a few stops at points of interest, and be back at the DIA by around 4. We hope a lot of you will turn out and be a part of this unique experience, sharing the joy of each other's company, and our love of Detroit!

After the ride, we'll set up and play 2 sets at the DIA as part of the Concerts of Color, our thanks to the Detroit Jazz Fest for hosting us at 4:30 and 6 p.m.

I'm signing off now, I'll have a re-cap of todays events, and reflections on the entire tour soon.

Thanks to  Metro Times for allowing us to be with you through this blog, I've thoroughly enjoyed the process, and thanks for all your support in making this happen.
