Nothing can replace the electric pulse of our beloved Detroit. It is the electronic roots of this city that keeps this colorful pulse strong and thriving. Movement, also named Detroit Electronic Music Festival started off on the right note, to put it very lightly. Brought to you by Paxahau, Movement day 1 was nothing but a great success. Thousands upon thousands of people gathered together at Hart Plaza yesterday, 5/26/2012, over one beautiful cause; the cause of innovative electronic music. There was a sense of magic in the air as you walked around the festival grounds. Festival goers were lit up with smiles, buzzing around with excitement. People from all walks of life were dancing in unison to the brilliant sounds some of the greatest electronic music pioneers. Some of these artists included Greg Wilson, Two Fresh, Photek and Lil' Louis. After the excitement of the festival, React Detroit put on an amazing after party at the Majestic feat. Emancipator and Ana Sia, two emerging electronic artists who are tearing up the underground electronic scene. The party was a perfect nightcap for the end of night festivities. Movement has brought joy and excitement to thousands of people from all over the country and all over the world. And the best part? It's only been day 1. Bring on the electric love.
