For its first two years, Mo Pop, an indie music festival, was held at Sterling Heights' outdoor amphitheater, Freedom Hill. But, today festival organizers made a big announcement. This year the music festival will move to West Riverside Park in Detroit.
Mo Pop, which is set to take place on July 25 and 26, will see other changes, too. It's expanding to a two-day affair, making it more festival-like. There will also be more aspects to the festival than just music. This year they're adding a craft beer garden, a craft fair element, a food truck alley, and a tech tent.
This year's lineup is also quite impressive. Modest Mouse and Passion Pit will headline the festival. Chromeo, Iron & Wine with Ben Bridwell, The Killers' Brandon Flowers, King Tuff, Coasts, and many more are also on the bill. Detroit-based Jessica Hernandez & The Deltas are also booked.
Tickets for Mo Pop go on sale April 10 at 10 a.m. A weekend pass is $99.
