In accordance with this week’s heat, the name is only fitting. Midsummer Meltdown goes down Saturday night at the Majestic Theatre in Detroit. P.L.U.Rfect, along with Dat Slik and Burst Audio, have gathered a healthy selection of DJ’s from around the country to spin through 150,000 watts and over 60 subwoofers. In other words, lots of quality acts making lots of quantitative noise.

Repping Minnesota is headliner Dirty Talk (who play up that they're a couple of chicks), along with DJ Rozz and Chris Trip outta the 312. Matt Clarke and Zoo Logic (Detroit) also have prime sets. Up-and-coming electro house group Nice Lab will be spinning the alley deck. Dubstep will be provided inside the Magic Stick by Serax.

As long as everyone finds ways to stay cool, the show should be the same. With well over a dozen acts, there will be plenty to take in from 7 p.m. (doors) to 4 a.m. (close). A pre-party BBQ starts at 3 p.m. for $5. Luau themed go-go’s will be moving all night and a custom 4 watt laser show was recently announced.

First 200 guests get a free lei. All guests get a free ear drum ass whooping.

$20 before midnight, $25 after; 18-plus.
