In a galaxy far, far away — the McRib lives on. Wait, what? The kings of drive-thru metal Mac Sabbath have taken on a super-sized task — replacing Black Sabbath lyrics with fast food-centric imagery. Thus, “Iron Man” becomes “Frying Pan,” and “War Pigs” is reimagined as “More Ribs.” And in the spirit of a true dollar menu deal, Mac Sabbath is teaming up with Galactic Empire — a Star Wars-themed metal band. With a Stormtrooper on bass, Boba Fett on drums, and Darth Vader and a slew of Siths on guitar, the galaxy just got a whole lot greasier.

Mac Sabbath and Galactic Empire will perform Friday, Feb. 16 at the Crofoot; Doors open at 7 p.m.; 1 S. Saginaw St., Pontiac; thecrofoot.com; 248-858-9333; Tickets are $18-$20.
